Walking with parents of children with developmental trauma / RAD
Personalized coaching.
You leave every call with support and a next step — never with judgment.
Built around your child and your household
No two families living with RAD look the same, which is why a general parenting program rarely helps for long. Personalized coaching starts from what is actually happening in your home right now — this week, with this child.
You bring the week you’ve just had. We work out together what to try differently, and I stay with you while you try it. When something works, we build on it. When it doesn’t, we adjust — without starting over from the beginning every time.
You don’t have to explain why it’s this hard. I already know.
What you can expect
- One-on-one and private — just you, or you and your spouse, and me
- Online, so you can join from anywhere
- Practical strategies you can use at home that same week
- Help staying calm and regulated yourself in the middle of the chaos
- Someone who won't flinch at anything you tell her
- A next step at the end of every call
You may be their lifeline.
- Staying calm and regulated when your child is not
- Getting on the same page with your spouse or co-parent
- School, teachers and the people who don't believe you
- Navigating ER visits, inpatient stays and other systems
- Responding to lying, control, sabotage and rage without escalating
- Protecting and supporting your other children
- Relatives, holidays and triangulation
- Grieving the family you imagined, and healing yourself

Sixteen years in, still standing
I have four children I love forever. Two of them are adopted, and I would not change the decision to bring them into our family for anything. They both have severe RAD due to the developmental trauma they endured before coming home to us. It reshaped our family dynamic completely — it affected everyone, and it only got harder as they grew older and moved through puberty.
My husband and I have been heartbroken as we’ve navigated ER psych eval after ER psych eval, inpatient behavioral health stays, complete regression for one of our daughters to an infant-like state at age 12, challenges at school, behaviors at home that went beyond difficult, 911 calls for our family’s safety, juvenile detention, and even a potential Dependency & Neglect charge from our county DHS.
I know how hopeless this can feel. I know what it’s like to be judged by people who have never parented a child with DTD/RAD. I know what it feels like to have your neighbors see the police at your home — again. I know how lonely this road can be. And I want to walk it with you.

Questions Parents Ask First
What is Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), and who is this for?
Reactive Attachment Disorder develops when a child does not get the consistent nurture their brain needs early on to form secure attachments. This abuse and/or neglect so early changes the way their brain is wired, and drastically changes their ability to attach to caregivers and function within a family.
This is for the parents raising those children — adoptive, foster, kinship or biological, and for the family members and friends walking beside them.
I also offer education for anyone who would like to learn more: teachers, pastors, youth leaders, and mentors, etc.
Is this coaching or therapy?
Coaching. I’m not a licensed therapist and I don’t diagnose or treat. What I offer is lived experience and practical strategies from sixteen years of parenting children with RAD.
What does it cost?
The 6-week class is $499 and begins October 16, 2026. You can split it into two payments. Personalized coaching is something we’ll talk through on your free call, so you will know exactly what that will look like before you commit.
Register by October 2, 2026 for 10% off!
What if my child's RAD isn't that severe?
RAD shows up differently in different children. Some children express it outwardly, even violently, while others are quieter about it — more subtle, sometimes more manipulative. But regardless of how it presents, it affects the whole family. The more you learn, and the more strategies you put in place to bring normalcy into your home, the better.
